PATRICK LAWRENCE FLOYD

My name is Patrick Floyd and I am from Austin, Texas. Since December 26, 2016, God has helped me stay sober from all mind altering substances. I have close friends and family members who suffer from the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. My goal is to help men and women find quality treatment through our donation based organization. God has helped me get to where I am today, and He has instilled in me a desire to help others who suffer from this disease.

IMPACT STORIES

MEET ANGIE

I remember the day we found out that our son’s addiction had worsened into heroin use. He had moved to Austin, and began to spiral after some really hard hits. Fear wrapped around me with a death grip, and I reached out to a prayer group that made all the difference. Through prayer, God led Caleb to reach out to his friend Patrick who he knew from a prior rehab. Patrick was an essential encourager in helping Caleb get more help, and never gave up on him. His mom, Holly, also called and helped to give me hope through her and Patrick’s story. Though this rehab would not be Caleb’s last, their intervention helped him live another day, which was a miracle in itself at that point. Having a son stuck in the death grip of addiction is like watching someone drown, yet having no way to rescue them. Because of the intervention and encouragement of Patrick and Holly, our son is now 4 1/2 years sober and helping to set others free. Not only that, God has given him a life worth living, full of love and purpose, and they now have a beautiful baby girl. We praise God for putting the right people in his path at the right times who could walk alongside him until he was set free!

MEET LANE

My name is Lane, and I’m a drug addict and an alcoholic. I’m 29 years old and the youngest of 3 boys. Originally from Oklahoma City, I’ve spent the better part of a decade in Austin, Texas, trying desperately to get sober; bouncing from institution to institution but never achieving long-term sobriety. I met Patrick in 2019 in the rooms of AA and immediately looked up to him as somebody I aspired to be like someday. We developed a friendship and even went through the steps together. Although I didn’t stay sober, we remained in close contact over the next 3 or 4 years. In December of 2024, I made the decision to try and get sober again. It was the first time I had ever asked for help and not been forced into treatment. Pat was the first person I called. He got me on a plane immediately, picked me up from the airport, let me stay at his house, and found a bed for me at a facility just outside of Austin. My mom has always supported my recovery journey and was there every step of the way, but due to a cancer diagnosis and constant medical bills, it just wasn’t feasible to pay for another stint in treatment. Pat, Cait, and Endless Recovery supported me financially without hesitation. They funded a 60-day stay at an inpatient program, two months in a sober living home, and lord knows how many hours of their own personal time to support me in any way they could. I truly believe I wouldn’t be alive, let alone happy, sober, and successful, without the love and support of such an incredible foundation. Endless Recovery saved my life and the lives of countless others, and all that was asked in return was to be there for the next man or woman when they ask for help. Today, I have been sober for about 8 months, I have a job that I love, I have healthy and stable relationships with my friends and family, I’m active in the Austin recovery community, I have a full belly, a warm bed, and a life that exceeds my wildest dreams. I owe a lot of that to this foundation. I am a living, breathing testament that Endless Recovery is helping men and women like me get their lives back. I still talk to Pat almost every day and have been invited to several family dinners at his house. He’s been a friend and a mentor of mine for years, and I could not be more grateful for him, his wife Caitlin, his Mom Holly, and everything they’ve done for me. They have impacted my life in ways I can’t describe. My mom got her baby boy back, my siblings got their little brother back, my nieces and nephews have their Uncle Lou back, and I live a happy and joyous life free from the shackles of addiction and alcoholism. I’m forever indebted to Endless Recovery and all they’ve given me.
